THE REFRESHING FAST DAILY DEVOTION
July 15–17 (Tuesday–Thursday)
Dear TCC Family,
As we enter this three day fast, I want to remind you that fasting is more than going without food or fleshly comforts; it is a divine invitation to draw closer to God, to quiet the noise of life, and to let the Holy Spirit renew your strength, your clarity, and your purpose.
As you exhale and surrender those things that drain and burden you, I want to encourage you to fix your focus on God. I pray that you will be refreshed in your faith, reconnected to your calling, and reignited with passion to live boldly for Christ. May these three days revive your soul and realign your steps with God’s Will for your life. Let The Refreshing begin!
 Blessings, Pastor Rocker
Purpose of Fast:
To seek and ask the Lord to refresh your mind, soul, and body. Use this time to refocus your priorities andreignite your purpose.
Fasting Perimeters: (You Decide)
PRAY
and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what YOU need to fast from.
Reminder: Fasting should suppress your flesh. It should not be something easy, but something that challenges your flesh!
Examples:
Staying off social media, avoiding your favorite foods, snacks, and beverages, etc.

DAY 1 - REPENT & RELEASE
Focus:
Letting go of what drains and burdens you

Meditation Scriptures:
Acts‬ 3:19
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,”

Psalms‬51:10
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Devotion:
True refreshing begins with a clean heart. God invites us to release sins, burdens, and distractions so we can experience renewal. Repentance is not just turning away from sin; it’s turning to God who is the One who restores.
 Prayer:
• Ask God to search your heart.
• Confess and release hidden sins or emotional baggage.
• Surrender your schedule, habits, and distractions.

DAY 2 - RENEWAL & RESTORATION
Focus:
To be filled with God’s presence
 Meditation Scripture:
Isaiah‬ 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

Devotion:
After letting go, God invites us to be still and receive. As your body adjusts to the fast, so should your spirit become more attentive to His voice. God restores those who rest in Him.

Prayer:
• Ask the Lord to fill the empty places of your heart and mind with His Spirit.
• Pray for spiritual clarity, a renewed joy, and strength from the Lord.
• Listen in silence for what He wants to say to you.

DAY 3 - A REFRESHED PURPOSE & SPIRIT
Focus:
Walking in purpose and pouring into others
 Meditation Scriptures:
Proverbs‬ 11:25
“The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.”

Matthew‬ 11:28
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Devotion:
God doesn’t just refresh you for you.  He refreshes you so that you can refresh others. As your spirit is revived, let that overflow into your home, ministry, and daily encounters.
Prayer:
• Ask God for direction to live with purpose and grace.
• Pray for people in your life who need encouragement.
• Commit to living refreshed and responsive to God’s voice.
 Benediction Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for refreshing me during these three days. I lay down what drains and embraces what fills. Help me walk forward in renewed strength, with a refreshed heart, ready to refresh others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
